This stunning Gavin Doherty dress is just over 12 months old. The
original order was for a soft yellow dress with a softness in the
skirt. This has been achieved in part by the yellow satin overlayed
in cream net with cream sequins. The gorgeous chocolate brown
lace, studded with dark brown bead work and sequins gives the
skirt of the dress the lovely soft look. The applique work around
the neck and at the hem of the sleeves and the skirt keeps it line
with the traditional Irish dance dress. Although it was not done in
the picture shown, the dress is liberally scattered with Swarovski
crystals, both large clear and small citrine, which creates a very
beautiful blingy image on stage. The cape is traditional, in the open
weave brown lace, backed with the yellow satin and studded with
crystals. The lining of the skirt is plain soft gold and the sleeves
and bodice are lined with white cotton, which makes this dress
very light and cool to wear. Comes with a brown leotard which is
new, and a pair of brown knickers, next to new. We were sent
extra fabrics with the dress to make the head band, which my
daughter traditionally keeps for each of her dresses, so will include
the remainder of the fabric, if you wish to design your own or
would look just as lovely with your own tiara. It is in excellent
condition and comes from a smoke-free home.
