Made by Cari Buziak of Celtic Originals. The name of the
design for this dress is "Sea Cross." This design features a
twisted knotwork Celtic cross with a woven ring running
through the cross and accented by curling waves of surf
and sea foam. Interesting additions to this dress include
small areas of metallic embroidery, fuchsia diamonds on
the pink applique areas, and a literal sprinkling of aqua
dewdrops around the cross and waves, also embellished
with Swarovski and Czechoslovakian stones. Another nice
feature of this dress is that it includes the Cool-Backs Vent
and moisture wicking lining combination - designed to
move moisture away from the body while keeping the
dancer feeling cool and dry. The Cool-Backs enhanced
performance lining is soft, lightweight, and breathable
which will reduce skin temperature and maintain hydration.
Repeated ankle injuries forced my daughter to retire from
dancing very shortly after she got this dress. She wore it
approximately four times before retiring from dance due to
injuries. It is literally "like new!" The dress comes with a
matching crown and two pairs of fuchsia spankies , and a
repair kit with swatches of material and additional crystals.
I am also including a muslin cover up to protect the dress
and a cover up for the dancer to wear over the dress to
protect it. When we had the dress made, we asked for
easements at the chest and waist, and additional fabric
included in the cuff of the sleeve so my daughter could
have some "growing room."
