This beautiful solo dress was made by Karen Foley of Australia.
The bodice is made from beautiful luscious black velvet and has
wonderful Celtic detail in white on the front and is embellished with
crystals. The neck has a lovely scalloped edge detail with a darker
turquoise velvet embroidered section along the top of the bodice. The
sleeves are made from soft spearmint green satin which is overlaid
with a sheer sequined circle design fabric bought from the UK, which
shimmers and sparkles under the stage lights and looks amazing. The
five panels in the front of the skirt are made from white and dark
turquoise velvet and have added stiffening so that the dress sits flat.
The back of the dress is made up of the same five embroidered velvet
panels but is soft, so sitting between dances is a breeze without
ruining the dress. Underneath these five velvet panels sits a lovely soft
skirt made from the same spearmint satin overlaid with the sheer
sequined circle design fabric and finished with a fine white lace edge.
Crystals have been attached to the ten panels at the front of the skirt,
on the bodice and on the black velvet cuffs of the sleeves. The dress
has a soft spearmint green satin shawl at the back. Two black satin
tabs have been sewn in the front of the dress for holding competition
numbers and a clear crystal competition number clip comes included
with the dress. The dress also comes with a white tulle tutu and three
pairs of kick pants in black glitter, turquoise glitter and a multicolour
pair. There are two different designed head pieces that come with the
dress also. This dress truly is in perfect condition and has only been
worn 5 times. This dress looks gorgeous on stage and we have
received many compliments. The dress has been very well looked
after, is in excellent condition, has no tanning or makeup marks, no
smells, and has always been stored flat in a smoke free home.
